18×24 canvas, frame not included
mixed media
I finally named this piece after it had been sitting in my home for a few weeks, unfinished. I chose High Priestess today because of an interview I heard about the sacred event called the Eleusinian Mysteries.
This event was led entirely by women and participants could only go once, and never speak of it again. It was a chance for people to get closer to the divine and awaken something spiritual within themselves.
This piece acts as a reminder to go inward, to trust the mystery, and to remember that true transformation begins in the unseen.
